NSW PARLIMENT  EXHIBITION

OUT OF THE BLUE EXHIBITION
May 3 to 26, 2022
Fountain Court, NSW Parliament House

After a two-year COVID delay, BMCAN is able to go ahead with its Out of the Blue—Life and Artistic Practice in the Blue Mountains Exhibition at NSW Parliament House, hosted by our local Member Trish Doyle MP.

The aim of this exhibition is to celebrate and showcase the creative responses to and reflections on the distinctive environment – both built and natural – by artists of the area. This includes not just personal reactions to the environment, but also responses to the lifestyle of our eclectic community, reflecting village life, our people, the landscape, architecture and flora and fauna of the region.
Coordinated by Deborah Sheehan of the BMCAN Management Committee, the exhibition will highlight the artistic talents of Blue Mountains artists to the thousands of visitors, elected members, and staff at NSW Parliament House. Peter Poulos of Theo Poulos Real Estate has kindly provided the first prize of $2000 for the best artwork.
BMCAN wishes to thank Dr David Cubby (WSU), Paul Brinkman (BMCC), and Kath Von Witt (Hawkesbury CC) who will act as the Selection Panel for the exhibition.
