At the Winter Magic LOVE Festival
Salute to Youth Stage
The Winners of ArtStreet 2023 were announced.
OVER-18’s CATEGORY
First place went to Greystanes Disability Services, for their group work “Connections”

Second place went to Jadin Cole for his work “Winter Magic” on display at the Tibetan 3-Sisters
UNDER-18’s CATEGORY
First place went to Orly Saban from Katoomba High, for his work “Love one Stitch at Time”

Second Place was won by Ana Swait from
Blue Mountains Grammar School for her work, “Robots of Residual Love” featured at EB Games.
Third Prize went to Katoomba High School
for their group work “Fragile Hearts”
on display at Frankly My Dear Coffee
Highly Commended was awarded to Kindlehill High School for their group work “The Liar Bird”

The Winter Magic Festival and ArtStreet invited Artists to submit artworks in competition for the Winter Magic Art Street 2023 Prize. ArtStreet is a community event celebrating the diversity and excellence of artworks produced by the local artists of the Blue Mountains. We aim to share the gifts of our artisans – from amateurs to professionals –with our community and our many visitors.

17th June 2023–9th July 2023 in participating shop front windows along the main streets of Katoomba.
Categories
Prizes will be judged in the following categories:
- ArtStreet First Prize – Painting (any medium), Drawing, Photographic, Sculpture (over 18 years of age)
- Youth Prize Under 18 years of age – Painting (any medium), Drawing, Photographic, Sculpture
- People’s Choice Award – Painting (any medium), Drawing, Photographic, Sculpture
Prizes
Over $1000 worth of Prizes will be available.
Details
The Artists selected will be notified by email and/or phoned between Friday 2nd June – Sunday 4th June 2023.
A complete list of selected artists’ works will be published on the ArtStreet pages of the GBMCAN website and via other media outlets including links on the Winter Magic website prior to the 24th June, 2023.
Notification will include details of shops where the submitted artwork will be displayed. Contact details and introductions with the shop owner/manager will be provided.
Registration closed: 6pm Friday 2nd June 2023.
